Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been crazy busy with the new job, some side projects and an amazing night class I'm taking with Dan Holland at the Animation Collaborative. Many updates coming soon, so stay tuned!
With only 90 minutes to spare and a mission of creating cute characters, this is what I came up with. Earlier this year I was contracted by Illumina Studios to create Illustrations for the Berkeley Lab open house. If you are unfamiliar, they are doing some amazing work with biofuel. My images were used to create large banners and an interactive educational game demo for both parents and children to learn about their exciting process at the event. The character depicted below, known as a Bioscriber, takes you on an adventure to the hunt for the correct mushrooms needed to produce the most efficient fuel.
Last year I was contacted by a company called Image Metrics to concept the heads of various characters. Their company deals in facial recognition, and can use a webcam to animate characters in real-time! Here are a few of the many characters I designed for them.
I have just been informed that a children's book I worked on back in 2008 is currently being turned into an animated film! I will update you as soon as I receive some images.

Seth HendersonGrowing up, I was inspired by the Sunday Comics. As a child, I remember cutting Calvin and Hobbes strips out of the newspaper and putting them into a photo album! Archives
