Model Packet: Based on The Landlady, a short story by Roald Dahl, I developed the main character and moved her to full model packet for 3D animation. This was done as an exercise to illustrate model packet best practices across departments.
Art Director & Lead Artist on Short: This project was a very creative and stylistically exaggerated circus themed short, with aspirations of being turned into a feature length animated film. We secured our first round of funding to create a teaser trailer as well as a second for a short film, but unfortunately the feature was not green lit. While below are samples of my character work, I wore many hats on this project. Directing a team in Italy, I designed characters, created model packets, drew storyboards, and did numerous scene paint overs to align mood and texture styles across all sets.
Background Concepts: These are rough background images I created to showcase best practices in following the background template, across multiple platforms.
Dragon Contract: Pocket Gems contracted me to create concepts and model packets for stylized dragons. They later switched Art Directors a couple times and pivoted to realism before release.
Illustrations: Berkeley Lab contracted me to do illustrations for their open house. These were used as large banners, as well as turned into mini interactive learning games for children.
