Model Packet: Based on The Landlady, a short story by Roald Dahl, I developed the main character and moved her to full model packet for 3D animation. This was done as an exercise to illustrate model packet best practices across departments.
Background Concepts: These are background images I created as theme tests for a new game. They were also used to illustrate best practices in following the background template during production.
Dragon Contract: Early in production on a new game, Pocket Gems contracted me to create concepts and model packets of stylized dragons. They later switched Art Directors and moved to realism before releasing.
Lead Artist & Art Director of Animated Short: While below are examples of a variety of my character work, I wore many hats on this project. Directing a team in Italy, I did storyboards, character and background scene paint overs, in addition to directing all work.
Illustrations: Berkeley Lab contracted me to do illustrations for their open house. These were used both as large banners, as well as broken into mini interactive learning games for children.
Bonus: Below are additional characters. On the left, we have one created for an animated short that was later cancelled. On the right we have style and exaggeration examples I created to illustration how to push character designs.
